RUNEM runs the whole of club membership for you: joining, renewals, payments, communication, reporting and member self-service. Here is the full tour, feature by feature.
The dashboard is the first thing you see when you sign in. It pulls the numbers that matter to the top: active members, who is lapsed, renewals coming due, income so far and anything that needs your attention, so you always know where the club stands without digging.
| Subscriptions collected | £14,260 |
| Estimated net payout | £13,690 |
| Lapsed revenue owed | £1,800 |
| Name | Amount | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Sam Hunter | £100 | 12 Jun |
| Priya Shah | £100 | 11 Jun |
| Tom Reid | £40 | 10 Jun |
Every part of RUNEM, the admin area and the member side, is fully responsive. Approve a member from your phone on the start line, check the register on a tablet at the club night, or work on a laptop at home. It is the same RUNEM, sized to whatever screen you are on.
A new member opens your join page, fills in a single form with exactly the fields your club uses, then pays by card. They are added to your register automatically, the committee is notified, and the member gets a welcome email with a link to finish their profile. No bank transfers to chase, nothing to type up.
Switching system is the bit clubs worry about, so we made it the easy bit. Export your current members to a spreadsheet, upload it, and RUNEM walks you through matching your columns to the right fields. You preview exactly what will be created, fix anything flagged, then confirm. Nobody re-types the club by hand, and nothing goes in until you have checked it.
When subs fall due, RUNEM sends the renewal and the member pays in a couple of taps. Members who saved a card can renew automatically. Reminders go out beforehand, and anyone who does not renew is lapsed for you, so the register stays honest without your team chasing a soul.
Took a join at the track, or someone paid by cash or bank transfer? Add them yourself from the admin area. Fill in their details, set their category and status, record how they paid, and send the welcome email so they can complete the rest themselves. You can also generate a payment link to send anyone who needs to pay later.
Set up as many membership types as you need, senior, junior, student, concession, family, life, honorary, each with its own price and rules. Members pick the right one when they join, and your reporting breaks down by category automatically.
Turn on pro-rata and members who join partway through your membership year pay only for the part of the year that is left, worked out automatically. Switch it off and everyone simply pays the full year. Your choice, set once, applied to every new member.
Members pay by card through Stripe, the checkout they already trust, and the money settles straight into your club's own bank account, never ours. They can save a card so next year's renewal happens automatically, and you can offer monthly or annual payment depending on the category.
No Stripe account yet? You do not need one to get started. Our setup wizard helps guide you to create a Stripe Express account for your club, walking you through it step by step. You add your bank details, confirm a few verification points, and you are ready to take payments. Already have a Stripe account? Connect it instead in a couple of clicks.
The settings panel is where the club is configured: your logo, your colours, your membership year, sender name and reply-to address, payment options and the policy wording on your forms. Your join page, member pages and emails all carry your branding, so members see the club, not a generic tool.
Add your code of conduct, data protection and cancellation policies, and members agree to them as part of joining. RUNEM records exactly what each member consented to and when, with the right wording for your sport. If you do not write your own, sensible defaults are provided.
RUNEM sends the emails a club needs and lets you control them. New members get a welcome email with a link to complete their profile. Applicants get a confirmation, the committee gets an alert, and renewal and reminder emails go out on a schedule you set. You can send any member their welcome email again on demand.
Need to tell everyone about the AGM, or just the juniors about a session change? Send an email to your whole membership, or to a single category, straight from RUNEM. It goes out under your club's name, to the members who have not opted out of club communications.
Club emails sent from a personal account often land in spam. RUNEM sends through a proper transactional mail service with the right authentication in place, so your welcome notes, renewals and reminders are far more likely to arrive in the inbox rather than the junk folder.
Add your committee and helpers and give each one only what they need. A membership secretary can manage members, a treasurer can see finance, a viewer can look but not touch, or build a custom role. Everyone works in the same RUNEM, with access that fits their job.
If your club is a charity or CASC, RUNEM can take one-off and regular donations and capture Gift Aid declarations as they come in. When it is time to claim, export an HMRC-ready file, so the admin behind reclaiming Gift Aid is no longer a chore.
Not everyone who wants to support the club is a member. Supporter payments let friends, parents and local backers contribute, as a one-off or a regular amount, with the money going to the club alongside, but separate from, membership.
Your club gets its own shop. List kit and merchandise, sell tickets to the awards night, take entries for a club event or a training camp, all paid by card into your account. It is the same trusted checkout members already use to join and renew.
The finance section turns payments into answers. See income by year and by category, renewal rates, member age and gender breakdowns and payment methods, with card and platform fees and your net income laid out. Reconcile what has actually landed, and export whatever you need.
| Category | Members | Revenue |

| Student | 12 | £600 |

Every member signs in with a secure magic link, no password to forget, and updates their own address, phone, medical notes and emergency or parent contacts. They can see their membership status, renewal date and a digital membership card. Your register stays accurate without your team chasing anyone.
Each club gets its own public page where members join, renew, donate and shop, carrying your branding. Share the link, or point your own web address at it so members go to your club's domain. No website project required.
Already have a club website? Embed the join form straight into one of your own pages. It loses the RUNEM header and menus, takes on your colours and resizes to fit, so it sits inside your site as if it was always there. Members sign up without leaving your website, and the card payment finishes on the secure RUNEM page.
RUNEM is built by people who run, so running and athletics clubs get the things that matter to them out of the box: first and second claim handled properly, England Athletics registration numbers held on the record, and the EA fee built into your pricing. Clubs in other sports simply skip these fields.
| EA number (URN) | 1 234 567 |
| Claim status | First claim |
| First-claim club | Riverside Runners |
| EA fee | £23.00 |
Records live in one secure place instead of scattered spreadsheets and old club laptops. Admins can switch on two-factor authentication, every change is tracked in an audit log, and you can export your data whenever you like, it is your club's property. GDPR data wipes remove personal details while preserving the financial record you need.
If something is not clear or not working, there is a support button right inside your admin area. It goes straight to the developer, not a ticket queue or a call centre. Because RUNEM is built and run by one developer who runs, you get quick, direct answers from someone who knows the system inside out.
Tell us about your club and we will walk you through exactly how RUNEM would work for you, including moving your current members over.
